Senior Microsoft SQL DBA
We are looking for a senior Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator that can manage the database needs of a SaaS company with servers in 8 different data centers spread across the world handling thousands of requests per minute.

You will work from our offices in Turnhout and there is no travelling involved (web meetings, webinars).
CheckMarket is a survey platform and services company based in Turnhout, Belgium that serves thousands users worldwide, from Coca-Cola to the NATO. We’re a self-funded, profitable company founded in 2002, that’s still growing fast, and we’re looking for creative, ambitious people who love change.
The bulk of the job will consist of managing Microsoft SQL Servers: Creating and optimizing stored procedures and indexes, designing new tables and functions, backups, etc. Our databases are 100s of GB large and geographically spread across three continents. Security and uptime are crucial. Getting good performance while millions of records are being added daily is a must.
What we expect of you
Great MS SQL Server skills.
Masters’ or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering
We are looking for a developer, whose passion for programming extends beyond working hours.
Excellent debugging skills; able to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system components.
Good communication skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Good at data modeling.
Effective problem solving skills.
Command of languages: English (Excellent), Dutch (Excellent)
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience required
Experience with Amazon Web Serivces (AWS) is a plus.
